My how time flies...on butterfly wings.
16 months since my last entry.
Alot of water has passed under this bridge.
I am almost finished with the main focus of that time. I promised my friend to make picture albums and send one to each of her daughters for her grand children to know their grand mother.
I chose to walk with a cancer patient through her journey with pancreatic cancer. We became very attached and I grew to treasure her like the jewel she was.
When she was diagnosed, the doctors gave her 4 to 6 months to live. We, (Kathy, her boyfriend/care giver, sister, and me) fought it together for 23 months and 12 days. Her will to live was astonding and she drug her heels in for every inch of the way.
Eighteen hours before her death, she asked for a hamburger..McDouble from McDonald's. She ate it with relish and enjoyed the exoerience, all of the while knowing her stomach could not digest it and she would puke it up several hours later.
I know what I am feeling is normal, but I can not help, but feel a great loss, an empty spot in my heart. I keep thinking if only the cancer had been caught earlier, if she had made every chemo treatment on time, and if only a thousand other things, she would have beaten the camcer. But I really know that is not the case. God's Will Be Done.
I think of her every day....

The second Wednesday of the month.
The beautiful, awesome rain started last night and already the sun is out drying up what little spots of moisture that remain. Promise of more rain later this week. I have a ton of things that I want to accomplish today. (How is it that I can spell on some days and not on other days?) Oh, Well! I need to buy groceries and get my gas tank filled today. So I had better get started... Take care my friends. It is so wonderful to be back!!! rlv

YOD Year of the Dragon
2012 is the "Year of the Dragon!!" I have been very busy. I have been trying to learn the new word processor on my new computer. It took me about three weeks to find the address book, so I could print out labels for letters I mail. My brain just does not work like it did when I was young. I used to survive because I had my grandson here to help me. So I have to figure it out on my own now.
In December I will turn 72 who would ever believe that I would live to be seventy-two years old. !!!! My little Cancer friend spent 12 days in the hospital the first part of the past three weeks. Of course I spent anywhere from 8 to 13 hours everyday with her. The new Chemo seems to be working as it knocked her cancer markers from 3000 to 500 with just two treatments; never mind it put her in the hospital. She is doing better, Praise the Lord!!
I am hoping to have this day for me to rest. I get so exhausted when I stay in the hospital and I get so far behind at home.
I Praise the Lord every day for my wonderful husband. He holds down the fort when I am away.
I am the most Blessed human alive!!

I have been away.
I have been gone from my website for more than six months. It is a long story and I will not go into it.
I am glad to be back. Many things have changed. Some for the better and some for bad and some make no difference at all.
My grandson finished high school and has moved to Utah. He apparently is doing fine or at least that is what he tells me. He is working and living with some friends. I wish him all good.
I have a new computer and have battle scars from fighting a hiddious virus.
I have made about three dozen greeting cards in the past month. Fun! Fun!!
